Hi Flite Test Community!

I'm Working on a New build and decided to record it in time lapse and share it.

This Build Log Is Called  "FT Explorer (twin boom design)".This plane is being designed to being my venture in to long range  FPV.

I fell in love with the FT Explorer a few months ago while building one from scratch with a student for a primary school science fair project and was amazed of how it flies and its versatility. I also love The Sky Hunter for its payload carrying capabilities , the twin boom configuration and the fact that it's a popular choice for long range FPV.

So I am merging those two plane ideas to come up with my own.

PART ONE

Part one is the printing and assembly of the plans for the FT Explorer. All the the parts of the plans are not going to be used for the build , but I had to assemble all the plans to cut out what I need.

Printing of plans

Once the plans were printed, They were "dry assembled" to give an idea of the order the plans were going to be assembled.

This was the work station where the plans were stitched together once assembled.

To join them together, one border section ( I chose the right side and lower side to cut off) had to be cut off to join the plans together. A line was drawn then cut and taped together.

Border secton  being cut off.

Plans being taped together with clear tape.

If I needed to assemble the whole plan I did it on the floor (for example the wing).

This processes were used  throughout the plan assembly.

In Part two, the plans will be cut out from the paper and transfered on to Foamboard.

Part 1 Conclusion

Thanks to the Plans Flite Test Produces ,Printing and Assembling plans could not be any easier !

As stated before not all the parts of the plans are going to be used in the build , but I had to assemble all to get an idea of all the parts needed for the build.
