FT simple soarer FAIL

it was windy and wanted to try a high start on high rates.........bad idea :/

Yours looks better then mine after a similar crash : ) mine had the elevator bent all the way down, I hi-started it and it went up about 15 feet up and it took a spectacular nosedive into the ground:-(

check the control surfaces before throwing it :-)

ha i had my surfaces checked but was my fist time flying in strong winds that the power of it nearly sharpened the throw of my surfaces by a million
ill know for next time :)

My first flight ever was is light wind with the Simple Soarer and it held up pretty good,

but when you get to familiar with your planes you forget to check the control surfaces before throwing it, hence the nosedive into the ground.

lol, I crashed mine into a lamp post while trying to fly in too small of a field, ripped the wing off and smashed the nose, but a little hot glue and packing tape had that thing back in the air in no time.

thanks i had my tape trick done http://www.flitetest.com/articles/2-foam-strengthening-kit
which helped but still needed major repairs

My wing folded on my first high start yesterday. Then it cratered snapping the fuse at the same point yours failed (back skewer). :(
