Giant R/C Lego Plane

“I was inspired by the 3D printed Lego man I bought on eBay, and thought this guy needs a scale airplane," said Adam.

Made out of 3mm Depron foam for most of the fuselage and the wings are 1in insulation foam. Adam even 3D printed a stamp to make the Lego dots on the plane!

"I started around October,” said Adam. “I had it flying in December, but lost it due to a motor failure. Took a while off from the project and rebuilt it from probably February to March. My guess is I put around 80-100 hours into it."

We and Adam were all thrilled to see it fly so well in-spite-of its aerodynamics!

Check out more of Adam's projects on his YouTube channel.

So much fun... What shape was the wing chord? From the pictures, I can't see how this should fly! :)

Nice! I did not expect it to be at FF West! I remember seeing this plane on rcgroups last month. Well done Adam! (p.s. I saw that crash video of the Lego plane early ^o^)
