To the Flite Test Community;

Hey guys, school is done, but that means trying to get done all the episodes and builds the students worked so hard on to showcase for you before their year ended. Next up is Hunter, an 8th grader and his first year in my MESArc class.  A great kid with a great plan, he started off the year building the FT Sea Otter, loving it he moved to build the MF-35 Lightning, love this one even more he decided to use this design for his final project.  

We do not currently have a MINI Lightning, we have done one in the past, however, it was not done right and wasn't good enough to release.  So Hunter spent countless lunches and class periods perfecting the scaled design to make it an easy build and fly for all of us.  Here is his final product, download and try it yourself, it is awesome.

Part of his specs was to design it around a power pack that we can easily explain and for you to easily find.  Orginally piecing a few different items together he eventually settled for the Flite Test Power Pack F.  This plane is perfect for this setup and is on safe side, if want a litte more pop we just using a higher KV motor, upping the ESC and going to a 4 cell.

I asked him that some of our community might ask...well it looks like the Alpha they did... and how would you explain the difference between your product.  He said the Alpah was for Flite Test around their needs and specs, the MINI Lightning looks the part of MESArc tradition, and stays true to the orginal 35 we made a couple years back with Jake. We hope you enjoy this plane and build, it only costs two dollars in foam board to make, and it is a blast to fly. As always, thank you for supporting the kids, we got one more plane in show for you next week, it is a cool one!
