My scratch built Old Fogey :D

This is my first scratch built plane (thanks to Josh Bixler and his great design) and my first rc plane ever

I used a FOXY 25A ESC

Turnigy 2822/14 1450KV motor from hobbyking

APC 9x4,7 SF prop

Turnigy 1000mah 2s 20c lipo battery

towerpro 9g servos

HobbyKing 4ch Tx&Rx

and 6mm depron for the airframe

It is a blast to fly this plane around the park and it is definitely very very easy to fly, although I did go through about 5-6 broken props with this :P but today was the most succesful flight I've had with this plane, one battery lasts me about 8-12 minutes of flight depending on throttle style

BUT, today, when i tried to land it, a tree just happened to come out of nowhere and broke the tail off :P but 10minutes of work and a bit of hotglue will bring it back to life

I'm 15, so I guess this isnt too bad :D

Building......building and more building.......this was kinda alot of work as this is my plane ever built. the photos are taken with an ipad and I have no Idea how to fix the orientation.....

A bunch of 9x4.7 SF prop that I obviously broke all

My 10 seconds-maiden flight ended with this.... :P It was incredibly nose-heavy

This is the 4ch Hobbyking radio I was using, works awesomely for less than $25

And My most succesful flight with this plane ended up like this :P again....that tree just came out of nowhere.....But still,I had a solid 20 minutes of flight with two 1000mah 2s batteries, a bit of hot glue and bamboo skeewers will fix that up no problem....GOOD news: the prop is still in one piece :D

about 1 and a half stick of hot glue and 2 bamboo skewers later, It's ready to fly again!!  :D

This is my first article on flitetest so im sorry if somethings are off, but other than that, thanks Josh bixler and the FT crew again for the awesome design and I hope you enjoyed it :))

Wow! That must be one mean tree too break the fuse in half! I have flown(crashed) mine many times and have learned that I need to buy prop at least 10 at a time.

I'm fourteen , I have been flying since I was ten I enjoy 3D flying the most I scratchbuilt a funjet out of blufoam. I fly it off 500watts and is a blast to fly.
Looks like a good build I find that the old fogey flies like my lazybee

the lazybee is a balsa plane, not a foamie, right?

The one in the video is a balsa but I scratchbuilt mine out of foam- not dollartree. I built it out of blue foam. We can get something like dollartree but it costs $7 a sheet and the paper on it is VERY heavy and doesn't peel off.
