To the FliteTest Community;

With the prototype successful, the plans for the latest MF-15 Eagle is almost ready for the public to get their hands on.  8th grade student Ashton has done it again, after creating the MF-DK2, the challenge was given to him over the summer to recreate the F-15 Eagle, using the latest MF-18 design style. He came back with the drawings in hand with a few upgrades to make it easier for the builder. After a few built planes to work out the design flaws, the plane is ready for final revisions and series final build/maiden videos.

Some of the changes the eagle has is an enlarged main wing, one solid underwing unlike its sister MF-18 Design seen below;

The other design change was to enlarge the back elevator for beginners to alter with flaperons for a less dramatic flight experience.  The MF-18 staid true to scale and was too small to alter it for that setup, making it an intermediate flyer to advanced flyer only.  The MF-15 Eagle can be changed to accomodate all pilots.

Finally the enlarged main wing allows the battery to move forward to its normal position up front in the canopy area, and not in the center of fuselage like the MF-18 Hornet, making it a lot easier to replace and charge a lipo battery.

Overall Ashton did an amazing job and the MF product continues to get better with each build.  Stay tuned for more videos and the plans for the MF-15 Eagle.

It even looks like the F-15

Ashton focused while buddy linked with Marshall.

Another great episode, another great plane. Again, I liked the fly-on-the-wall access to the buddy-box flying. This is real product development and testing, as it happens. Great work, and thanks for sharing.
