"Short Stack" FT-3D

Newest addition to my FT-3D family the "Short Stack".

This version is a chopped fuse, and comes fitted with a 40"x7"cord Armin wing.  Dimensions of this build are for the most part to plan. The exceptions being the bottom half's of the fuselage sides are cut off along the top of the normal wing mounting hole to the top of the horizontal stab. The bottom is removed and then fitted into place. A profile is then cut into the fuselage for wing mounting, and a new horizontal slot is cut.

The new interior will easily accommodate a 2200mah lipo and more, with skewers to hold it in place. The power pod was omitted.  Additionally, both the vertical and the horizontal stabs are reduced in size and a counter balance was added to the vertical.

This build came together with a few goals in mind. First, the craft would need plenty of lift and accommodate a modest payload.  Second, be stable at all speeds. Third, have a large flight envelope, from crawling to quick.  Finally, be a rock solid short-fielder with or without payload, and operational from a dramatically unimproved strip.
