Sketchup for RC - Tutorials

by Vintauri | January 20, 2014 | (11) Posted in How To

I have been working with Sketchup for a few years on creating airplanes and other related items for the hobby.  I have been asked by a number of people for tips on using sketchup.  I have decided to start making a number of tutorial vidoes on the topic of Sketchup for RC.  The first video if a general overview of how to get sketchup and how the basic functions inside Sketchup work.

This looks like a great tutorial, but I thought you should know there is a glitch in the link to your blog.

CNC machines - any insight into cheap entry points? tools, products or reviewers?

Really enjoying the series and learning so much, thanks!

Thanks for checking out the videos. I'm glad they are helpful.

For getting into a CNC machine if your not afraid of a build it yourself deal you can start out pretty cheap by looking at the Routy over at Openbuilds. http://www.openbuilds.com/builds/routy-cnc-router-v-slot-belt-pinion.101/

That is a great site for opensource CNC builds and software.

I got SketchUp a few years ago but frankly haven't put it to much use. I'm looking forward to going through your tutorials and learning how I can make it work for me. As an RC flyer/builder and a home owner there are definite applications.
Thank you for putting this together.
