Hi Guys great video, i know it's old but I just purchased the DX8.
After using my DX6 for 2 yrs time to upgrade.

Question... W/the DX6i, to program the ESC's you start with the throttle up then turn on the Transmitter. After the beeps you pull the throttle down. All set...
Problem.. the DX8 wont allow me to do this. I put the throttle up, turn on the trans. and the DX8 vibrates and beeps and wont finish turning on until I pull the throttle back.
If I turn of the warnings for the throttle with this allow the transmitter to finish turning on so I can set the ESC's

Thanks for your help on this guys!!

I believe you will find that programming the esc is based on the transmitter's throttle position when you power the esc and not when you power the transmitter. Power the transmitter on with throttle at minimum. Move the throttle to full when the transmitter has initialized. Then power the esc.
