Stable Finless Flying Wing!

First off, big thanks for squishy and his flying buds at crashtesthobbies for comming up with this amazing design. What you end up doing is on your flying wing, you measure 2 inches in and 2 inches back from the front corner of each wing tip. You then just trim the two corners off of your wingtips, remove your fins and bam, you have stability with no fins! Watch the whole video and you'll get a better idea. YOU DO NOT BEVEL THE TRIMMED CORNERS, YOU NEED DRAG TO MAKE THIS WORK. If you have a thin flying wing, 10mm or less, you want to add a 1 inch wide stip of foam on the trimmed corners, as mentioned in the video. This will cause more drag, making the wing stable with no fins and trimmed corners. Only do this if your wing is thin, mine is fine with half inch foam, then 6mm foam and another layer of 6mm foam, it is perfect thickness where it is trimmed down. The whole idea behind this is because people are sick of their combat wings always breaking their fins, this solves the issue entirely!

Personally, I will keep a one inch tall fin on my wings. The stability difference is minimal, but I dont do combat and the more stable the better!

Here is the original video where I got the build tip from:

Be sure to check out crashtesthobbies.com, they have amazing wings great for combat and AV.

Try this out on your wing and let me know how it does, or squishy. If you dont trust this, try it on an old flying wing and prove to yourself it works lol.
