Maiden flight.

Yep, Discus launched!

It was a short flight just to check lift and CG. I did move the batteries back and to the right for the next launch.

I noticed right away it's dihedral effect. I was not able to roll this thing whatsoever. Must be from the center sections extra airfoil lift? Not sure. I have since trimmed my rates down and it is a very gentle and slow flyer. I would recommend this style airfoil to any new hobbyist.

I just love how it self levels after a turn. Makes you feel like a better pilot than you really might be.

Also after the launch I had the throttle pegged...... That's a mistake. Way too much torque and it cause it to list hard to the right. I was barely able to correct it before it possibly hot the ground. Since then I have always launched at half to 2/3rds throttle for safety.

At least we got a peak at how he accomplished his build , FPV flights are generally a bore unless they show a new method or innovation, that works or don't work ,so we can learn from other's experiences.

Some pics would not hurt, but nice job! if you say your wing has dihedral into it will make it stable but not sure why you are not able to roll it, it might also be since trimmed your rates down. but I think you will keep trying until you are able to roll it. But nice work!
Fly Safe!
