Start:
I still have some depron sheets, I decided to make an A400M airbus in depron from the plans of a c-17 globemaster II modified by myself
first the printing of the plan and its assembly to cut out the templates.
then reproduction of the templates on the depron and cut out parts of the depron.
after that we start the assembly.
all parts are glued with hot glue or uhu por contact glue.
first the fuselage
after that the wing and tail
engine nacelles
and engine assembly
make a cross and check that everything is level and square between the wing and the tail before gluing the tail
make the formwork of the fuselage by bending 3 mm depron (do not forget the direction of the depron, it easily bends in the right direction, otherwise it bends)
after that, mount and wire the motors in the nacelles and fix the nacelles under the wing, checking the direction of rotation of the motors and their correct functioning. I put A2212 / 10T 1400 Kv
175 watts per motor with an APC 7X4 propeller which is about 700 watts for a predicted aircraft weight of 1500 grams so about 450 watts / kilograms, it will grow hard
finalize the electrical assembly of the wings with the aileron servomotors before forming the top of the wing.
it is reinforced with a 6 mm carbon rod and 5 mm pine rods
check the alignment of the nacelles and motors
the wing is fixed by rubber bands for easier disassembly
here is the result after a little painting (I did not insist too much on the finishes)
the wingspan is 1m30, the length of 1m20 and the weight of 1450 grams with a 3S 2200 mAh 35C battery
and here are the test flights (my land does not allow me to take off with trains, so it's hand throwing)
