Flitetest Versa Wing Slope Soaring - Part Deux

by 28th St. Air | October 14, 2013 | (5) Posted in Just Fun

I've been inspired by many of the great videos on this site and have found that video editing is yet another way to build and create something that adds to the enjoyment of making and flying planes. Hope you find some inpiration to edit your videos after watching this footage of my Flitetest Versa Wing that is a slope glider only.

If you want to learn more about my FT Versa Wing Glider, there's a link below to an earlier video I made where I note some of the minor build varations I made.

On a side note: I am really amazed how bomb proof the plane is with a MinWax coating on it and just a strip of Duck brand tape across the leading edge.  I have flown the plane at high speed into large piles of rocks, branches etc and am frequently at a loss that I cannot find any dents.  There's alot to be said for a plane that you will spend more time flying than fixing.  Another reason to like Wings.

 Enjoy!

true. there is an understandable slant towards powered flight here on flitetest. I suppose if they were not in flat Ohio there might be a bit more opportunities to show slope planes. :)

Very cool! That looks very much like Southern California. I used to live there I missed the very beautiful weather. I remember passing by a place in Long Beach or Bolsa Chica maybe and there is always half a dozen of those flying wings they just seem to hover over the beach. I didn't know anything about RC back then but it was cool watching them fly with out motors at a low altitude. I'll have to check out your other video to see if I can figure out your set up.
