Fowl Flyer Adventures- ejected battery!

This is an example of the learning the hard way. My 2200mha 3s was velcroed to the swappable powerpod, That's right, only velcroed. I had a bad feeling about it (I must start trusting those feelings), but, I've never had good quality Velcro come loose, until now. From watching the video I figure I was right over the pump station building when I pulled up hard from a spinning dive, and the lipo continued to dive...As you can see, having the plane land, on my runway, on its wheels, DEAD!, with gopro running:) is a very lucky thing to happen

Firstly, I'd never want to litter anything! (especially something so volatile). However, I have searched high and low for this thing (it was $20+ shipping) and got nothing, I returned 3 times and looked in new areas, about and hour each time after the first day. No battery to be found...

photo IMG_0587_zps35fd9087.jpg My powerpod: Turnigy D2826-10 1400kv motor, 30 amp plush esc, 8x4 prop, and the orange RX (it's the same one I now use in my baby blender) photo IMG_0599_zps63483264.jpg Thank you flitetest for making this hobby so cheap to do. photo IMG_0600_zpsee4ace95.jpg I naturally use the same securing technique for this plane too. photo G0010093_zps34e0b119.jpg This is a photo from a different day capturing the area, From the video it seems like it should be somewhere around that fenced in building. I looked on the roof, all around the walls, and in every bush around it... I really hope it didn't end up in the water.

WOW WOW WOW. YOUR SOOOOO LUCKY. I need to get my plane running with a GoPro. Where did you buy your prop saver and props? Awesome Flying and views. Keep up the good work.

I built this one mostly because it can carry the gopro and still fly well, It really is worth the weight for the footage you can get. Both are from eBay. The prop saver is 3mm, I drilled it a little to fit that shaft (3.17mm). And the prop is a Turnigy 8x4 that I also drilled just a little.

I'm still worried about a 500mah 2s that I lost Sunday evening at a local park. Was flying my nutball swappable while my daughter and wife played in the playground area. Mine didn't fall off the plane though, it fell out of my pocket somehow. I searched the area several times over but couldn't find any trace of it :( Thankfully I have a friend who's on the ground crew so I was able to give him a heads up to let whoever mows to watch for it...but I'm still worried about what would happen if a mower were to hit it. And from now on I'm not using that pocket for lipos anymore unless I close the flap over it.

I can see your battery in the bush to the right of the square building!

No you can't, I looked all around, also, the picture was taken BEFORE the battery was lost.
