IMAX B6AC and "knock- off" improvement.

I have run a Knock off Charger, a copy of the IMAX B6AC charger for some time now.
I have always thought it got too hot, like real hot when charging and mega hot when dis-charging.

I got to this solution.

It does however bring the charger to a level abowe it'self....

Let me explain. The heat is not good for electronic components, so when getting the heat away, you get more reliable performance, and better results from it, too.

I simply removed the power adapter from the housing, coupled it by extending the wires (And added a EC5 connector)

This got the heat out of the box... Litterally!!!

Since then, i have had a better charge rate, more stable performance and no heat issues.

I do however recommend to get the charger calibrated, since it will  make swollen LiPo's due to exessive charge rate and to high a volt setting.
Search Youtube for that.

Heres the pictures.

This is the charger after modding.

The almost empty, but way cooler shell.

Here is the simple DC to AC moule that powers the charger. It also generates a lot of heat.

This is a simple task.

Do not experiment with high powered stuff and high voltage wall outlets, when turned on, or when you have no experience working with electronics.
