Hey guys. Here's my experience with FT3D, I've made two. First one was just for thrashing, Second one was supposed to be my final one. Well as you can see i havn't got so much of luck in it yet :p First one was flying good, just it got a bit windy and the plane went out of control and got into a bad landing. With second one, Flew great, no problem. But due to my radio blocked, the elevator got stuck on below, it started doing loops so i cut off the throttle and then it just did one big loop and landed on to the nose. Well i hope third one goes well :D This is my final model i had made.

How the firstcrashed outout :p

And now about the second crash.

Only nose part of fuse is damaged, Its minor and can be fixable. i"m thinking of making a permanent pod rather than a removable. First time it was wind, Second time my elevator servo got stuck. So it wasnt the design fault. Loved it thats why i'm still interested in it. Just the nose part is a bit weak, will find a way to strenthen it. Othervise loved it. Flew great on the second try untill the servo locked. Will get back with repaired one :D

Sorry for your bad luck, but on a positive note at least they only cost $3-$4 to build. A few years ago I built a very nice wooden extra 300, spent the whole winter building it, and turned it to toothpicks in about 45 seconds.

Yeah only foam, that to just fuse broken. both planes wings are intact. i'm thinking i'll fix fuse of this, try the permanent pod on this. and then make a new one for later. :p Damn that glitch, or else it flew great for 2-3 minutes.

Sorry to hear about your plane :p I'll look for any articles by you :D

Is it built by a depron foam? If it is, how did you do all the foldings?

I just made two different pieces, glued them in. works the same even without paper
Or you can always tape it :P
