At Flite Test we always want to make your flight experience fun, smooth and the best it can possibly be, so we wanted to share a gimbal modification to do just that.

TJ modifies the Taranis X9D with the M-9 Gimbals. Watch the above video for step-by-step instructions.

Are there any other types of modifications you'd like to see done with radios/transmitters/recievers/etc.? Share your ideas with us in the comments below!

Great step by step video. Takes the intimidation out of the upgrade

Could someone find out what the mounting hole spacing and gimble diameter are? I've been looking around and I can't find any mechanical drawings for it. I'm looking to replace the gimbles in an older radio I have and at first glance, these might fit. I can deal with re-wiring if need be, I'm looking for a physical fit first.

That went really well. Don't worry if you get a throttle warning on first start. The calibration step will likely fix that.

TJ,
Great tip. However I was cringing every-time you put the radio face down on the table. I would have felt more comfortable if you had placed the radio on a piece of egg crate foam to protect the gimbals, switches and screen on the front of the radio. Otherwise great video.
