Spitfire Swappable - Preview

by FliteTest | April 1, 2013 | (48) Posted in Projects

This is version 2 of David's Spitfire Swappable prototype design.  It's still in need of some adjustments, but it's coming along very well! This speed build will be available in the months ahead.

David shares details about the airplane's flight characteristics as Josh flies this foam board swappable for the first time.

This speed build swappable will be available very soon!  Stay tuned and keep checking the Flite Test Store for details and availability!

Does the wing tip shape improve the handling do you think?

Wonderful!

Nice bomb there. I've always wanted a surprise factor on our school parade... Joking joking.
I hope you develop this really fast because my scratchbuild Bf-109 is not going to last very long before it becomes part of Terra Firma

David! LOL!! Poor Josh will think twice before accepting a testflight next time :D

On a more serious matter: do I assume correctly that the uncovered end of the wing is not just for easier building of the wing, but actualy to counteract the tip-stalling tendencies of the elliptical wing by rising the lift coefficinet toward the tip?
